Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one session without the need to change devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer at a affordable price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual can get you up and running in no time. best cheap robot vacuum comes with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you want for each room.
You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it can crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but a quick glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that indicates the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being able to operate for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through the frequent back-and-forth movement.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, or vice versa. 4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive available and comes with many additional features that set it apart. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options to customize the cleaning routine, and there are numerous functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, with a white and metallic design that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
